Biophysics Bonanza

I have enjoyed helping Dr. Legge prepare lecture materials for the Biophysics couse. You can go check out the syllabus out at the coursepage. We covered a lot of material and all of that material was prepared fresh this semester. Dr. Gray, who had been the professor who taught this class before, had retired and Dr. Legge focused the class more on spectroscopy rather then sedimentation. There is plenty of differential equations in both, especially for biochemistry majors. Coming from engineering, I have most of the math and can see how its application to a different discipline is implemented. Eigen systems and Fourier transforms remain some of my favorite areas of math. I am also proud of the students who definitely worked hard in this class, which was for many the very last of their undergraduate careers.
